AFK Pager is built to relay your AI coding sessions to your phone. We collect only what's needed to make that work, keep it as briefly as possible, and never share it.
AFK Pager collects the minimum data required to operate:
Your data is used for exactly one purpose: relaying information between your Mac and your phone. That's it.
We do not analyze your code. We do not train models on your data. We do not profile you. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with anyone.
A background task runs every 5 minutes and automatically purges stale data. Here are the specific retention windows:
| Data | Retention |
|---|---|
| Stream snapshots (closed sessions) | Immediate |
| Stream snapshots (stale) | 1 hour |
| Answered/skipped questions + replies | 1 hour |
| Delivered session inputs | 1 hour |
| Closed sessions | 24 hours |
| Expired auth tokens | Immediate |
| Pairing codes | 10 minutes |
Persistent data (your account, passkey credentials, API keys, device tokens) is kept until you delete your account.
The only third-party service AFK Pager communicates with is Apple Push Notification service (APNs). Push payloads contain only a generic alert ("A session needs your attention") and opaque identifiers. No code, question text, or terminal content is sent through APNs.
We do not use analytics services, tracking pixels, advertising networks, or any other third-party data processors.
AFK Pager has no analytics SDK, no telemetry, no crash reporting service, and no tracking of any kind. The server logs only HTTP method, path, and status code. Request bodies and terminal content are never logged.
Deleting your account removes all associated data: sessions, questions, replies, stream snapshots, device tokens, API keys, and credentials. Most transient data will already have been auto-purged long before then.
